The Ayrton Challenge Programme is a UK Government commitment of up to £1 billion that aims to accelerate the clean energy transition in developing countries by creating and demonstrating innovative clean energy technologies and business models. The Ayrton fund is managed by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
