Dr Sangita Thebe Limbu, Research Associate on the JustGESI Project, attended the Early Career Researchers (ECR) Net Zero Conference in Birmingham on 9-10 March 2026, where she presented a JustGESI research poster on Institutional Ethnography.

This article offers an overview of the first JustGESI XChange event of 2026, where Dr Órla Meadbh Murray and Dr Serena Saligari reflected on their feminist methodological practices through Institutional Ethnography and anthropological ethnography. Their approaches highlight new possibilities for understanding power, relationality, and knowledge production, as well as for advancing more accountable and transformative research.

At the December 2025 JustGESI Work Package 2 meeting, Dr Christabel Yollanda Kambala and Tamara Mhango shared reflections from their scoping study on gender, inclusion, and energy policies in Malawi. Their presentation provided an insightful perspective on how researchers can effectively engage with organisations and select partners for Institutional Ethnography.
