In the last JustGESI XChange session, held on 28 July 2026, Professor Maggie O'Neill from University College Cork explored how Participatory Action Research (PAR), art-based research and feminist methodologies can be used to work ethically and collaboratively with marginalised communities.

This article provides an overview of key insights and lessons from the second JustGESI XChange event of 2026, where Dr Carol Maddock and Dr Aelwyn Williams from the Transforming Energy Access (TEA)@SUNRISE Network at Swansea University shared findings from their now published report, Barriers to Inclusivity in the Solar Value Chain: Africa, Asia, and the Indo-Pacific Region.

This article offers an overview of the first JustGESI XChange event of 2026, where Dr Órla Meadbh Murray and Dr Serena Saligari reflected on their feminist methodological practices through Institutional Ethnography and anthropological ethnography. Their approaches highlight new possibilities for understanding power, relationality, and knowledge production, as well as for advancing more accountable and transformative research.
